Je m’ appelle Baiba

Wow. A lot has happened since my last post. School is crazy. I have so many homework I can’t find time to do them all, but I just do the important ones at home and save the easiest for school.

To be honest, my life is in kinda perfect balance right now. Remember my post about how I lost my best friend  ? well, everything is totally fine now. We haven't talked about that night, but I don't even want to. I don't care anymore about that. I forgave her about everything. And now we are as close as we used to be. You know those friends who are a perfect match for each other? That's just how we are.

So that's one positive thing. School is fun, I'm laughing every day... Everything's good at home... To be honest, I have NOTHING to complain about right now. It's kinda freaky. Cause usually I find something to complain about,[ lol ] :D  but for now, nothing comes in my mind.

Of course there is one drama thing between my relatives, but I choose to let it go. These people are not worth it. I'll write a post about that someday.

Oh yeah, there is one thing. [I'm not even complaining about that, I just think it is actually kinda funny and I want to share it with you]

I had a car accident.

Now, before you all go bonkers about it, let me tell you the whole story :D

I was driving to school one morning with my friend, and we stopped to the gas station to get coffee. When I was driving out of the parking lot, a truck was turning in, so I didn't see what was behind it and I pulled out on the road. that's when I saw another car and I just kinda...ran into it. BUT! nothing actually happened. both cars were totally fine... I just scratched the other car a bit. Me, my friend, the other driver and my car were perfectly fine. it was more funny than scary or terrible. WHAT'S SO FUNNY ABOUT CAR ACCIDENTS? you might ask. The funny part is WHY I didn't manage to avoid the other car... there are many bumps on that rode, and my coffee was spilling out, so I was reaching for it! ;D and that is why I crashed. :D
I know it is kinda stupid, and I thought my dad will kill me. but when he saw that no big harm was done, he was laughing about it later with me. He told that everything's fine and he's glad I'm ok. So that was a relief. I know many people think now OMG, SHE GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT ALREADY, SHE MUST BE A TERRIBLE DRIVER...BLAH BLAH BLAH... but honestly, I've come to the point, where I don't give a damn about what others think. That just makes my life easier.

besides, if they are talking about me [no matter bad or good] it just means they can't live without thinking about me! ;D

I don't even feel bad or embarrassed. Cause it's not like I'm the first person who ever got into car accident.

I'm still that little positive me! :)

Oh! and I'm learning French! :) I've only had one lesson so far, but I can tell you - it is so fun. It's completely different from any other languages. I like it. I'm also learning Italian, but that is a bit harder to do, cause I'm learning it from books I order on the Internet. BUT, I'm not giving up though.

then again, I said the same about my guitar :D and yet, I haven't touched it for months. But hopefully I'll learn to play that too one day ;D

there's a lot on my plate right now, but I think I can do it all. It's fun stuff. I just hope I can balance my time and keep living in this harmony and joy for a while :)

So,What have you all been up to?

Last days in Germany and some crazy fun!

After two weeks, my trip was coming to an end. I wasn’t very happy about that, cause I loved spending time with my sister and it all was so fun. But since I have to go to school, I couldn’t stay there any longer.

But, before I left, I got to experience something crazy fun. There are many amusement parks in Germany and I got to enjoy one of them. It’s called phantasialand

I had heard about it before and I thought it would be awesome to spend my last day with my sister there.

So we both got dropped off at the entrance and we had all day by ourselves. The minute we entered the park it just blew our minds. It was sooo big and everything looked so beautiful. It's like a huge live fairytale.

[there was China town, Greek town, Mexican town and other. They were so beautiful]

The best part was that kids roller coasters were separate from adult ones. I really liked it cause no one was bothering anyone. The kids had their own side of the park and adults - the other.

Neither I or my sister knew any of the rides so we didn't know what to expect. We just thought we'll go on every ride and after that take some pictures. NOT THE BEST IDEA... ;D when we got in the first line, only then we realized where we got into... It was the watter ride. So after that we were dripping wet and as you can imagine - we couldn't take many good pictures ;D

[I thought it was a dragon.Turned out it was a crocodile ;D ]

The first ride was really fun and I thought HEY, I'M NOT THAT SCARED AS I THOUGHT I'LL BE... yeah... at the beginning I had a plan - we go to the easiest rides at first and leave the crazy ones last. It was kinda good idea, except when you don't know anything there, you can't really guess which are the fun rides and which are the scary ones. and JUST MY LUCK! the second ride we went to turned out to be the scariest of them all. I can honestly say - I had never in my life been so scared!

the ride was called The mystery castle. And it was like free fall. But the atmosphere and all made it so darn scary...I had tears in my eyes and after I got out of it my legs were shaking. Now I can say-it was AWESOME! but I don't know if I could get myself in there again...

[That tower is the scary ride]

[this was the second craziest ride]

There were so many awesome rides, and we had the best time ever! It was the perfect adventure for our last day together.

[me and my sister with an actual dragon ;D ]

So the next morning I said goodbye to my sister and those nice people, and got into a plain to go home. That flight felt two times shorter than the first one. I was sad to leave but kinda excited to go home. I missed my parents and I couldn't wait to tell them all about my trip.

Now you know almost everything :) thanks for being with me on this journey :) you are all awesome.

Another P.S. - I have to apologize again for not being very active on blogger, but lately I've been really busy. I have school, grandma who needs help with all the work, plus I'm sick! so that sucks. But. I got a job! :) nothing fancy, but at least I have my own extra money. So now - I'm gonna go take a look at your blogs and see what I missed :)

Day...I don't know...I've lost the count ;D

You can’t trust me with serious stuff, things..or whatever. Cause i’ll just end up breaking it, dropping it or loosing it ;D

One day we were all going for a walk to the city and I was pushing the stroller. We were laughing and talking… everything was just fine...
 Until...

I don’t know why or how but I suddenly tripped. But it wasn’t just a simple fall. Since I was the one pushing that kid, I knocked over the stroller too. I didn’t even notice it until I saw that little boy sitting upside down and  laughing in my face ;D

At first I thought WHAT IS GOING ON? ;D cause I had no idea what just had happened… When my sister, me and little kiddo had stopped laughing (which was after a long, long time) I discovered why I had tripped. My shoe was broken.  [FYI – those were my favourite flip-flops] So I had to go home bare feet.  Plus I didn’t have other shoes with me… All I had was a pair of sneakers.

Nothing terrible happened, though. We got home safe, and we all got a good laugh. And little Oliver was excited because the fall was like a roller-coaster ride for him ;D

Thanks to ebay, I got new shoes in two days so I was good to go outside again ;D
[well, I was going outside, but without shoes. And it wasn’t very pleasant. Especially because kid’s favourite place was the cornfield and horses and there were rocks EVERYWHERE…but, then again, it was kinda good massage for my feet ;D]

At the end of the day - it was funny. ;D Sad - because of my shoes, but funny. ;D

P.S. I'm sorry for not posting and commenting on your blogs. I've been busy, helping my grandmother with country work...

AND... today is father's day in Latvia. Since I already wrote a post about my daddy, I won't do it again, you can just read that one. But, I did give him a kiss and bought a cake from me and my sister, so all that's left - HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! :)

Day two,three,four and so on...

To let you understand what it’s like there, I have to tell you little about my sister.

Seven months ago she came to Germany to work as a nanny for a little boy. It was kinda hard to believe cause she had NEVER been with kids for more than few minutes. She never babysit or play with kids. So imagine my surprise when she told me she was going to Germany to work as a babysitter.

Anywho… this family she lives with is simply awesome. The mother is Latvian, so it is easy to communicate. But the father is German. That’s good, cause now my sister speaks German. Of course it isn’t that good for me, cause they can all make plans on how to get rid of me, sitting next to me, and I won’t understand a thing they are saying ;D

The little boy is just the cutest little fellow. Of course there were times when I want to use some duct tape on him…esspecially his mouth, but besides that he’s cute and sweet.

[I just love this picture. And he loved my sunglasses. He actually loved everything that was mine ;D ]

Still, my first days were pretty awkward. I don’t know how about you, but I don’t feel very comfortable living in other people house, so it took some time to get used to it. Everything was different, I didn’t know what I could touch, use or even look at…Are there any special seats on the couch or something like that…so I felt a bit uncomfortable the first few days.

But, everyone was so nice to me and I slowly started feeling ok.

Since everyone there is busy, we didn’t get to go to massive excursions, but, I didn’t go to Germany for that reason. I wen’t to relax and see my sister.

Mostly we went for a walk. It wasn’t boring even for a bit, cause I always had something to talk about with my sister and that little kid did not stop even for a minute.
This city is so lovely. It looks like one of those cute little villages on movies, with very tight streets and an ice cream shop in the middle. And it is surrounded by the river and corn fields ;D

[Btw – real Italian ice cream is THE BEST ice cream in the world!]

[he came to save me from corn ;D ]

[ Beer garden! It is actually a simple pub with cool sign ;D ]

[This path along the river is soooo long and the best part is that is is made for everyone - pedestrians, cyclists etc.]
Everything there is so cute and clean, and relaxing. Plus, people there are so nice. I’m used to rude Latvians who even look at you with evil eyes when you go by. But in Germany everyone is so nice and polite. In stores they are fighting about who will let who go first in the line. And when we were walking – cyclists, who were passing by, said Hello. How sweet is that?

That was one of the reasons why I didn’t want to come home… cause it simply brightens my day when a complete strangers is being nice to me :)

Day one

Although I was flying for the first time,I thought I’ll be more nervous or something…but my surprise was, that I wasn’t nervous at all. Since this was kinda big of a deal, I thought my stomach will be turning around and I’ll have that weird feeling which I have when I’ve had too much chocolate ;D
But the minute I said goodbye to my parents, joy and excitement took over every other feeling I had. This was a big deal for me. I was all alone on my journey. And I was actually proud of myself for being so calm.

Now I can honestly say – I love flying. The view is gorgeous. The clouds look like cotton candy and the best part was that no matter how rainy it was down there, my face was filled with sunshine that was rushing through that small window. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was that my ears were popping out and I heard everything around me in six different keys.

So my flight was safe, beautiful and I survived it. But before that I got to laugh at how much of an idiot I am :D I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t do something ridiculous.

I said goodbye to my parents and went through the metal detector. The night before I was so worried about that thing beeping, that I even took out that little metal piece in my scrunchy and simply tied it together. Then I was moving forward, past all the little stores to my gate. When I got there I saw a crowd getting in a line and I thought HEY, I’LL STAND IN THAT LINE TOO. I’LL BE ONE OF THE FIRST PEOPLE WHO GETS IN THAT PLANE. After I had been standing there for about 20 minutes, I heard the magical voice that said there was another plane before mine that was stopping to the same gate. So I thought DAMN, THIS ISN’T EVEN MY LINE. And I simply walked away, sat and waited for my line. After about half an hour I heard the magical voice again that said my plane was here…

That’s when I realized, it WAS my line. And I had stupidly went out of it… Now there were about 130 people standing before me. I was one of the last people who got in that plane. But I still got the window seat.

Later I was laughing about how silly I was. I could have simply asked someone in that line where they were flying, but nooo. I am so darn shy I can’t even talk to people ;D

But, everything turned out good. I arrived, hugged my sister, said hi to the people she’s living with and settled in.

So that was the first day of my trip. Exciting, silly but still awesome. I was proud of myself for going into this journey all by myself and not freaking out even a bit.

I was ready for adventures and relaxing :)

Unwanted House Guests

Today is my birthday!  I've never had any problems stating my age. Not sure if that's something women struggle with only at a certai...
